About 25 members were on the walk on a pleasant day with a breeze near the brook which was rather high. Not as many fungi as the walk 3 weeks ago. Highlights: the deep blue-green fresh fruiting bodies of Chlorociboria aeruginascens, huge Lactarius allardii (quite possibly the largest of the lactarii), Death Angels, and Boletus huronensis (first time recorded on our walks), a bolete that only grows with hemlock and can cause severe gastrointestinal problems.
