About 25 members showed up for the walk on Sunday, August 29 on a temperate cloudy day. The reservoirs were filled to the brim and the nearby Wanaque River was raging. The ground was very wet. But we were lucky and were able to cross the brook. The highlight were the huge Jack O’Lanterns found by Dan Horowitz. Not that many mushrooms, not many edibles. But certainly enough species to talk about. The boletes were just starting to come out.
