It has to be said that this is a special list. Someone handed Sigrid Jakob a present—a hunk of dryish deer poop that was already fruiting with Ascobolus, a lovely ascomycete. But when Sigrid got it home it was even better. It didn't have to be incubated. There were already several interesting fungi visible under the dissecting scope, many of them new-to-city for our lists.

It was in the mid 50s, cool and fair, finally some decent rain helped the fungi out a little bit, but there weren’t too many mycorrhizal mushrooms out there. Over 100 species collected.
