After a record amount of rain in the month of September, the fall mushrooms are out in large numbers. Our walk in Clove Lakes Park Staten Island produced some very interesting collections, including several Cortinarius species. We were sorted into two groups by the Staten Island Half-marathon, but we eventually united at the picnic tables. ~30 people attending
