The first walk of the New Year held in Central Park—a club tradition. A sunny and warm day for January. Around 1.5 in. of rain in the last seven days. We were delighted to be joined on this walk by three people who focus their efforts on leaf spots, rusts and powdery mildews: Susan Hewitt, David Jeffrey Ringer and Stephen Bodzin. So this list will contain more of those taxa than usual (an example of sampling/observer bias, which it is always important to acknowledge).
