One of the first walks with abundant mushrooms this summer. A beautiful flush of dozens of purple Gymopus iocephalus, which smelled like burnt garlic and reacted to a drop KOH with a bright turquoise color, was a highlight of this walk. The impressive numbers of rust fungi on this list is the diligent work of Andrew Cannon. The abundance of lichens thanks to Wilton Rao. ~24 people for a ~4.5 hour walk.
