This wallk was a part of a Mushrooms for Beginners session—with a zoom lecture on Saturday morning, and a walk in Cunningham Park on Sunday. It has been a bit dry in the city, so I was somewhat worried that there wouldn't be any mushrooms. But of course they were there. Interesting finds of the day include Callistosporium purpureomarginata, an elegant purple mushroom that Dorota found. She also found a tiny Lepiotoid mushroom growing on hardwood that Sigrid Jakob is going to interrogate to see what, if anything, can be learned about it. Monika found a Chlorencoelia, which will probably turn out to be C. torta, but will have to be scoped. Our Mushrooms 101 weekend was in collaboration with the [Lower East Side Ecology Center](https://www.facebook.com/lesecologyctr), an organization that has been pioneering community-based models in urban sustainability since 1987. Special thanks to Echo Hertzberg for helping make this a success.
