A pleasant walk in Pelham Bay today with a large turnout. Dry conditions continue, but we did manage to find some small hens, rooting polypores, destroying angels and many others. A highlight was a new-to-the-city rust fungus, Uromyces limonii, spotted by Thursday on the leaves of sea lavender (Limonium carolinianum). The closest iNat record is in northern Maine, though there are historical collections from the state.
